LED mesh screens are primarily used for outdoor LED displays. They employ structural waterproofing, sealing all electronic components, and are equipped with waterproof connectors for input and output. The wiring and signals can be integrated or separated through dedicated connectors.
LED mesh screens predominantly use DIP plug-in LED 346, with 347 and 349 models also available. These LEDs feature high brightness and low power consumption. Typically, SMD LEDs offer a brightness of around 2 cd, whereas DIP plug-in LEDs achieve 6.5 cd. At the same brightness level, DIP plug-in LEDs consume only one-third of the power of SMD LEDs, while also offering greater stability, higher heat resistance, and larger chips.
Additionally, SMD LEDs provide finer image detail and better screen flatness compared to DIP plug-in LEDs. Therefore, as professionals, we typically recommend DIP plug-in LEDs for outdoor LED displays and SMD LEDs for indoor displays, based on client needs and product specifications. Other configurations are considered only in cases involving specific technical requirements, budget constraints, or other factors.
